The Blacksmith – My name is Cornelius Monk and I am the castle blacksmith. My job is one of the most important, albeit lowly, occupations around. I forge, sharpen, repair and maintain the weapons and armour of lords, knights and men-at-arms. I’ve lived in the castle since I became an apprentice at the age of 13. I have become very strong from working at the forge. It gets very hot in my shop and I like to visit the castle cellar to drink some cool ale. Sometimes I’ll even bring a scullery wench there to keep me company but don’t let my wife know.
